Student Feedback:

Edgar Jardim (Venezuela) – I am currently doing rigging workshop 2 and it’s fantastic the amount of topics it covers, it’s full of neat tricks to learn and implement on your own cartoon characters and the tutor explains every step of the process in great detail I totally recommend it. I’ll be doing workshop 3 after I finish this one.

I had some great time teaching Blendshape Combination System and it’s workflow on creating a realistic facial rig during by teaching process at Puppeteer Lounge. The BCS toolset is a gem of a tool, highly recommended for those into feature film quality production.

You can learn how to setup your very own cool facial rig using BCS with me at Puppeteer Lounge. For more info click here!

Updated Quadruped Workshop with Bobby

Puppeteer Lounge have an updated quadruped setup workshop
where we go over rigging a lovely cartoon dog model. The workshop
consists of 8 classes or approximately 8 hours of lecture time (Body and
facial included)!

The character modeling is done by our
very talented student Edgar Jardim who is currently busy with Rigging
Workshop 2. Special thanks to Edgar for the model and request for the
new workshop.

BTW the models name is Bobby and can be used by our animation students in their assignments too 🙂

Driven Wrinkle Maps by Damien VIE

Here is an image by one of my talented student
Damien VIE showing the shading network to generate automated (driven)
wrinkle map for a characters brow and face (The entire network is pretty
big!). The maps can be projected real-time in the viewport with normal
maps (used in game) or switch to dynamic displacement maps for realistic
film quality render.

At Puppeteer Lounge, we constantly
challenge our students to come up with new and better ideas out of many
different possibilities.
