In this video, the puppeteer plays a double role as a rigger and an animator to bring the puppet to life. Think of those strings controlling the puppet to be IK Handles! đ
I had to post this; such awesome robot dance moves! This guy is amazing. I am thinking how hard will be to actually do an animation similar to this including the character setup đ
What does it feel like to fly over Planet Earth! Notice the city lights and the lightning thunder.
Something fun to watch, and play “The Mario Bros” with live Violin playback!
Probably the greatest speech ever by Charlie Chaplin presented with a blend of visual documentary. The speech is a part from one of Chaplin’s greatest movie ever “The Great Dictator” where he played a dual role of Hitler as “Hynkel” and a poor barber!
“Dear Sir or Madam,
It seems that you have forgotten a something so I want to take a moment of your time to remind you. I, your developer, am a human being. I have a life that is not defined by my job and I have loved ones around me that want to interact with me in real life, not just in instant messenger screens.
I am truly sorry that company revenues are down because of the economic crisis, however, from my vantage point, the companyâs performance, in good times or bad, is your responsibility. You would not accept âI did not foresee the consequences of that codeâ as an acceptable excuse for failure, so I donât see why I should have to see âWe didnât see this comingâ as one.
Instead of taking the responsibility for the financial problems the company is now facing, I see you implement âcost cutting measuresâ. Most of these measures seem to be simply removing the benefits of my job that help me justify showing up each day. In the worst cases, I see you laying off my friends â other developers â or asking me to take a salary cut. It seems that you feel that words of encouragement after doing these things should be laced with such phrases as âwork harderâ, âburn the midnight oilâ and âall pull togetherâ. To me, this means you want me to work longer hours, for no additional benefits, for a company that you own or own stock in. As I see it, I am putting in all the work but you are reaping all the reward.
So here is my request to you. I will work harder for no additional pay or even less pay to help your company survive if you agree to the following.
I really think you have lost sight of this one very important fact. Nobody hires us because we have a kick-ass management team, they hire us because we write kick-ass code. When you can do that, you are as valuable the company as I am. Until then, I, your developer, am the most valuable person in your company and itâs time you woke up and fetched the coffee.
Sincerely,
Your Developer”

A little OFF Topic material again rather than the regular CG stuffs! Ok, here is a really remarkable person and a very good friend of mine, Binod! For the past 6 years he have been volunteering and educating children and peoples living in Dolpa (one of the remotest places in Nepal). Whatever he earns and make from fund raising goes to establishing school in Dolpa. He is know as Ghangzong Sir (Himalayan Dolpa Sir) by the local community and praised by them. His struggle, effort and spirit is still unheard by lot of people so I helped him make a blog and a facebook group to share what he have in his mind! I wish him the very best on his endeavors and more than willing to support đ
Click Here to visit his Blog. Whenever he get’s some time off from his work he will keep us posted from his blog!
Ok, here is a little different topic; not the regular CG stuff but the nature! Recently I went on a treking trip from Pokhara to Ghandruk, which is about 300 KM west of Kathmandu. The breathtaking views and sceneries here are some of the best in the world. You can almost feel the gigantic Himalayas above your head with beautiful village and wild green forest. These places are what I would like to call heaven on earth … the true Sangrila! I am looking forward to visit there again đ
